The 2006 Toyota Highlander is a carryover from 2002,
not redesigned for 2006. The Highlander has six trims
available. These trims are the Sport Utility 4X2,
Sport Utility 4X4,
Sport
Utility V6 4X2,
Sport
Utility V6 4X4, Limited V6 4X2, and the
Limited
V6 4X4. The initial introduction of the Sport
Utility 4X2 is equipped with a 155-horsepower, 2.4-liter,
I4 engine that provides 22-mpg in the city and 27-mpg
on the highway. The Limited V6 4X4 is with a
220-horsepower, 3.0-liter, V6 engine that provides
18-mpg in the city and 22-mpg on the highway. Overdrive
is standard on both trims in a 4-speed automatic transmission.
The Toyota Highlander is a sport-utility. The
Highlander is a 4-door seats up to 5 passengers.
